Amazing 8 Way Snare Drum Battle featuring Atlanta Drum Academy. Check out this snare drum battle from some of the top drum lines in Atlanta, Ga. These kids all are very talented and have amazing snare drum chops. This is an annual event held at Southwest Dekalb High School called "The Beat Down." This was the first year that they added the snare drum competition portion. Snare Drum Phenom, Jeremie Foster, from Drum Line 2 and Bethune Cookman's "Sudden Impact Drum Line" was the judge of this event.The Atlanta Drum Academy was represented by 13 year old Sadarien Riles(who was the youngest snare drummer on stage). He had to battle his Atlanta Drum Academy brother, Matthew Heard , who was representing for his home school on the snare drum. How to play a drum roll in less than one minute with Atlanta Drum Academy . The snare drum roll is usually the first thing that a non drummer tries to play and the first thing a drummer wants to learn. All you will need for this video is a pair of snare drum sticks and a drum or practice pad. Remember a few key rules. Your stick must rebound to get the 2 notes out to create the snare drum roll. This is an advanced technique used on every drum line and marching band. If you really want to learn how to play drums, this is something you must master. Especially if you want if you have a desire or interested in making the drumline.
